Tobias D. Kankelborg  Pianist and composer based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

During his childhood, Tobias D. Kankelborg was taught to play classical piano in style of Tchaikovsky and began to immerse himself in the art of the classical pianists before him as well as contemporary composers like John Cage and Philip Glass. Growing up he began to explore the world of jazz and started to incorporate the harmonies and improvisation into the strict style of classical music, leading to a new way of thinking classical compositions.

Today Tobias D. Kankelborg is composing between the walls of post-modernism, polystylism and naive minimalism. Tobias is displaying an unusually wide stylistic and emotional range, from almost silent works of innocuous charm to shouting works of tremendous depth, power and grandeur. He refers to his work as being the silent stories of a sad piano man and often uses #sadpianoman in his general communication.
